Goodbye Isaac

Fan di Teen Wolf, preparatevi per la perdita di un altro favorito. Dopo la scioccante morte di Allison e quella di Aiden, il produttore esecutivo Jeff Davis ha dichiarato in esclusiva a E! News che Daniel Sharman, che interpreta il lupo Isaac, non tornerà per la quarta stagione che inizierà a Giugno.
“Daniel Sharman è venuto da noi, più o meno come fece Crystal, e ci ha detto che la sua intenzione era quella di uscire dalla serie per dedicarsi ad altri progetti, a cose nuove,” afferma Davis.
Per fortuna i fans non dovranno essere in lutto per un’altra morte poiché Sharman ha richiesto che Isaac non venisse ucciso. “Ha specificatamente chiesto di non uccidere Isaac, in modo tale che potesse avere l’occasione di tornare. Ci ha detto che ha amato questo ruolo a tal punto da poter tornare se ce ne fosse la possibilità. Ma era in una posizione in cui voleva spiegare le proprie ali creative e gli ho detto, ‘Se non possiamo convincerti a tornare, terremo sicuramente una porta aperta per te.’”
Jeff Davis continua dicendo, “E’ stata completamente una sua decisione, ma ama davvero questa serie. Mi manda i messaggi più dolci al mondo. Ama la serie e ha chiesto di non essere ucciso, così da poter tornare o nella quarta stagione o più avanti, direi che c’è una buona probabilità che ciò si avveri.”
Sharman, presente nella serie dalla seconda stagione, non è mai stato un regular ma è apparso in quasi tutti gli episodi della terza stagione.
“Rispetto totalmente un attore che dice, ‘E’ ora di andare avanti e provare cose nuove, ruoli nuovi e forse fare cinema o teatro.’ In una serie come questa è stata una sofferenza, perché una parte di me avrebbe voluto dire a Daniel ‘Ti prego rimani, ti amiamo.’ Ma credo che debba fare ciò che ritiene sia il meglio per lui. Sono grato del fatto che venne diretto da noi a parlarne onestamente al posto di dircelo poche settimane prima che la produzione per la quarta stagione iniziasse.”
Per quanto riguarda il modo in cui Sharman uscirà dalla serie, verrà spiegato nella quarta stagione, Davis ci rivela che Isaac e Chris Argent, alla fine dell’ultimo episodio della terza serie, partono per la Francia. “La storia sarà che Argent si prenderà un periodo sabbatico che passerà in Francia per reagire alla morte della figlia e Isaac lo segue, ecco perché li si vede entrambi uscire dalla porta di casa Argent.” (E’ giusto dire che Davis ha confermato che JR farà parte della quarta stagione.)
I fans potrebbero ricordare un altro personaggio di Teen Wolf che si è trasferito in Europa, dopo che Colton lasciò la serie con Jackson che si trasferì a Londra. “Credo che sarebe fantastico: Isaac e Jackson a Londra,” scherza Davis. “E’ Teen Wolf: Europeo!”

Teen Wolf fans, prepare for the loss of another fan favorite. Following the shocking death of the MTV hit's female lead, Allison (Crystal Reed), and Aiden (Max Carver) in Monday's finale, executive producer Jeff Davis exclusively reveals to E! News that Daniel Sharman, who plays fan-favorite werewolf Isaac, will not be returning for the fourth season when it premieres in June.
"Daniel Sharman came to us, much like Crystal did, and said that he wanted to go out for pilot season and for movies and try something new," Davis says.
Fortunately, fans will not have to grieve another heartbreaking death as Sharman requested that Isaac not be killed off.
"He specifically asked that we not kill off Isaac, so that he could have the chance to return. He said he loved the role so much that he wanted to be able to come back if there was a chance," Davis reveals. "But he was at a position where he wanted to stretch his creative wings and I said to him, ‘Well, if we can't convince you to come back, we'll definitely leave the door open for you.'"
He continues, "It was totally his decision, but he really loves the show. He sends me the nicest texts in the world. He loves the show and he specifically asked not to be killed off, so that he could come back someday. Whether it's the fourth season or later, I would say there's a good possibility of it."
With the show since season two, Sharman was never a series regular, but appeared in almost every episode of season three.
"I totally respect an actor who says, ‘Time to move on and I want to try other things and try other roles and maybe do movies and theater,'" Davis says. "In a show like this, we were always bringing in new blood, so it was a struggle because part of me wants to say to Daniel, ‘Please stay, we love you.' But I think he has to do what's best for him. I'm just glad that he came to us to talk about it honestly instead of a few weeks before season four started production."
As for how Sharman's exit will be addressed in season four, Davis spills that Isaac and Argent (JR Bourne), Allison's father, headed off to France at the end of the season three finale. "The story is going to be that Argent sort of takes a sabbatical in France to deal with the death of his daughter and Isaac goes with him, that's why you see them leaving out the door." (It's also worth mentioning that Davis confirms, "JR is a part of season four.")
And fans may remember that another Teen Wolf character headed off to Europe after Colton Haynes left the show after season two, with Jackson moving to London.
"I think that would be awesome: Isaac and Jackson in London," Davis jokes. "It's Teen Wolf: European!"
